Biography

Vials of Wrath is the one-man atmospheric black metal project of Dempsey “DC” Mills from Tennessee. Founded in 2009, it bridges raw emotion and contemplative faith, bringing a distinctly Southern sense of nature into a genre known for coldness and despair.

Mills writes and records all his material at Fallen Oak Recording (Maryville, TN), handling vocals, guitars, bass, keyboards, and production. His music merges the aesthetic of atmospheric and blackgaze metal with reflective Christian themes, offering a rare voice of light amid shadow.

Message / Lyrics

The lyrics revolve around faith, redemption, mortality, and humility before the Creator. Nature serves as a metaphor for divine cycles—death and rebirth, decay and renewal—making Vials of Wrath’s work a poetic meditation as much as a musical statement.
