Celebrating his 36th birthday, Patrick the Pan releases his fifth album titled "It's Not the Best Time for Sensitive People". This album marks his first independent release since his debut, crafted entirely on his own terms without a record label. Known as Piotr Madej in real life, Patrick the Pan dedicated the last year to this creation and is immensely proud of it.
"I am thrilled to share my latest album with you. While significant life events, both good and bad, are memorable, it's the ordinary days that are often forgotten. This album is an attempt to find beauty in those days and a respite from challenging times," says Patrick. The album is available on all streaming platforms.
Patrick the Pan documents and celebrates simple, everyday life. He reminisces about moments like a tearful wedding, the farewell to youthful dreams, or a TV on during Christmas Eve. The daily "grayness" that fills the space between extraordinary moments is what interests him the most. From it, he crafts stories that, while personal, quickly resonate with our own experiences.
Despite being on the Polish music scene for 11 years, Patrick felt like he was debuting anew with the release of his fourth album "Everything Nice" in 2021. The new material continues the philosophy of simplicity and quick studio decisions, which were a natural choice. Patrick notes that he is now three years older and more experienced.
The album is promoted by singles: "You Know (Don't Keep the Best Plates for Guests)", "About Nonsense, Tattoos, and Love", "After the Light (I Know It's 4:00 Again)", and "I Don't Want to Be a Passing Presence in Your Life". Each track tells stories of daily struggles, love, and finding meaning in simple moments.
Patrick the Pan, or Piotr Madej, hails from Krakow. He is not only a lyricist and composer but also a respected producer, collaborating with artists like Sanah and Dawid Tyszkowski. His music balances between electronics, guitar play, and quiet, emotional tracks. Melancholy has been omnipresent in his work since the beginning of his career.
Soon, Patrick the Pan will embark on the "For Sensitive People Tour" this fall, performing in cities such as Katowice, Krakow, Wrocław, Warsaw, Poznań, Kielce, and Toruń. On stage, he will be accompanied by talented musicians: Aga Bigaj on keyboards, Adam Baran on guitar, Adam Stępniowski on drums, and Marcin Chryczyk on bass.
