Javva Presents New Single "Marek"!

Exciting news for fans of alternative music! The Polish band Javva has just released their new single "Marek," the second track previewing their upcoming album titled "Pícaros." This highly anticipated album is set to hit the shelves on September 27, 2024, under the Mystic Production label.

Javva MarekThe term "pícaros" is Spanish for "swindlers," but there's no trickery here. Javva delivers raw, heartfelt music played straight from the heart. The band members, including Piotr Bukowski (guitar/synths/electronics), Łukasz Jędrzejczak (vocals/synths/electronics), Bartek Kapsa (drums/percussion), Macio Moretti (drums/percussion/bass/synths), and Mikołaj Zieliński (bass/vocals), have crafted a collection that evolves themes from their debut album "Balance of Decay" in all directions.

Adding to the rich tapestry of sounds are contributions from Tomasz Gadecki (saxophones), Miłosz Pękala (marimba/percussion), and Iza Izzy Rekowska (vocals). These musicians have been involved in numerous projects that have shaped the Polish alternative music scene over the past quarter-century.

The album opens with the track "Nie mamy zbyt wiele czasu" ("We don't have much time") and closes with "Czas goni" ("Time chases"). This theme of urgency and impatience permeates the album, encouraging listeners to take their time to fully appreciate its layers. "Pícaros" is an album that rewards repeated listening, revealing new depths with each play.

Listeners are first invited to connect with the pure energy of the music without dissecting its components, much like not analyzing the composition of water when a wave overturns your boat. As the album progresses, the rhythmic structures will naturally unfold, and the brain will catch up with its dense, intricate music. Eventually, fans will start identifying the inspirations and references that Javva weaves into their musical identity, from the foundational influences of Bydgoszcz and Lado ABC to the echoes of math rock and post-hardcore from America, and even glimpses of Saharan guitars and Bosphorus harmonies.

"Marek," the second single from "Pícaros," exemplifies Javva's unique approach. The song's release has been met with enthusiasm, and it continues to build anticipation for the full album. The single is available for streaming on various platforms, and the official music video can be found on YouTube.

As the release date for "Pícaros" approaches, fans are eagerly awaiting the opportunity to dive into this new collection of songs. Javva's blend of urgency, complexity, and rich musical heritage promises an album that will be worth the wait and deserving of many hours of listening.

Mark your calendars for September 27, 2024, and get ready to experience the musical journey that is "Pícaros".
