Magdalene RoseFeel the cold wrapping around your heart until it beats like a hammer, shattering chains and revealing its core. This is not just an event, it’s an artistic manifesto, a rite, and a symbol of rebirth through music — an invitation to immerse yourself in this experience. This article covers the release details, interactive fan campaigns, a short review of the album, and everything you need to know about the upcoming livestream.

Album release — physical first, then digital

After three years of work, The Heart That Bloomed After Death was first released physically on July 29, 2025, in collaboration with Rockfest Records. The cover — a gothic, stained-glass vision of a heart — symbolizes darkness, trauma, and redemption. Each copy is a collector’s item with unique graphics and extras.

The digital version was made available on August 22, 2025, reaching a global audience while preserving the aura of its physical form.

In Phase 1 of the campaign, fans were asked to print a poster of the album, post it around their town, and submit photos or videos to unlock exclusive content. Phase 2 revealed the full tracklist, including: I Don’t Know Where to Start, Shark Spray, Gorilla Warfare, Can You Fix Me?, Teeth Eater, Something Spiritual, Frolicking Through Minefields, To Feel Nothing, Then Everything, and the title track.

Magdalene Rose announced the final days of the physical album pre-sale and celebrated its release with the single Hey At Least I’m Feeling Something, which addresses self-harm and the need for healing, offering a message of support and connection. She performed on August 8 in Winchester, VA, on August 9 in Endicott, NY at the Signal Boost Festival, and on August 14 in Pendleton, OR. Another show is scheduled for September 9, 2025 at Faith Wesleyan Church in Little River, SC.

The album is full of contrasts — Magdalene Rose’s vocals range from delicate whispers to raw screams, the guitars shift between heavy riffs and melodic passages. Frolicking Through Minefields balances between desperation and triumph, while I Don’t Know Where to Start tells a story of difficult beginnings and the inner strength they can bring. It’s a dark tale of breakdown and rebirth, blending faith, pain, and redemption.
