Heal the Hurt releases explosive new track "Ruin", announces upcoming debut EP

Heal the Hurt drops their new single "Ruin" and announces their debut EP of the same name. The track, a follow-up to their collaboration with HolyName on "Stained Glass," is now available for download at https://bfan.link/ruin-hth. Watch the accompanying music video by Reese Media and John Fleischmann below.

Heal the Hurt EP"Heal the Hurt is not just a band name: it's a statement," says Trevor Tyson, the mastermind and vocalist of Heal the Hurt. "This collection of songs will always hold a special place in my heart as it commemorates dark times I never wish to revisit. I hope people listen to each song, feel empowered, courageous, and perhaps even glimpse a spark of hope that invites them to step into the light and become who they were meant to be."

While the songs are deeply inspired by Tyson’s faith, they are also refined by his experience as a mental health speaker and podcaster, profoundly influenced by the solidarity he found through heavy music. Appropriately, the metalcore vocalist teamed up with seasoned musicians to launch his fledgling band.

Josh Sturm (Lacey Sturm) recorded most of the project in his studio, with additional recordings by Alec Gregory (AsFireFalls) and Patrick Shekut (Convictions). The EP was mixed and mastered by Ryan Leitru (For Today). Various tracks draw from the production skills of Patrick Shekut, Nick Gregory (AsFireFalls), and Joel Issler (Cliffside). Many songs were co-written with Michael Felker of Convictions. Alec Gregory, Kenzie Coyne, and Josh Bramlett (The Protest) contributed additional writing support.

The full version of the EP will be available on all major streaming platforms starting August 23. You can join Heal the Hurt at https://bio.to/healthehurt.
